TracRac TracONE Ladder Racks Review - 2016 Ford F-150- Video

Today, on this 2016 Ford F150, we're gong to be test fitting the Track Rack Track One Truck Bed Ladder Rack, part number TA27000-01. This ladder rack has an eight hundred pound weight capacity. You can carry anything from ladders, to lumber, to con-well pipe, anything you can think of for the job site, as well as, kayaks or even other water sport carriers. Excuse me. You can tie them down by using these tie down points here, which you can loosen up and slide back and forth on the track rack on the top of the rack. It does have a nice aerodynamic shape on both bars, which is going to cut down your wind noise and drag while you're driving. It can be adjusted for varying truck bed widths by loosening up these two Allen head bolts on the top of the legs, and that's going to be for each of the legs. How it attaches to the truck bed, excuse me, is you're going to be using these two C-clamps here, and it's going to be the same for all feet. There is going to be no drilling required to actually install this. We are going to go ahead and show you how the last two go on. more

It does fit varying truck bed widths by loosening up two allen head bolts on each leg and making your adjustments. It also is adjusted by height with these quick dial knobs, which you can see these large black knobs on each foot. more

Today this 2016 Ram 1500, we're going to be test fitting the Erickson truck bed ladder rack with load stops, part number EN07705. This has a weight capacity of 800 lbs. and is good for hauling anything from your ladders, to lumber, to conduit pipe, whatever you can think of. Now, it's made from a good solid aluminum construction. The cross bars up top are actually kind of nice and aerodynamically shaped so it will cut down on wind noise and drag. It comes with tie downs on both bars, which you can move by loosening the knobs at the bottom, and it's actually slides along this T-track underneath. It's the same concept if you need to adjust for different truck bed widths with these 2 knobs here, and of course these are going to be at all of the feet of the ladder rack. more

Now, to attach this to your truck bed it uses a clamp system, which you'll have 2 clamps per each side. more

TracRac TracONE Ladder Racks Review - 2016 GMC Sierra 2500- Video

Today on this 2016 GMC 2500, we're going to be test fitting the TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Rack, part number TA27000-01. This is a fixed height, and it has these nice aerodynamic bars, which cut down wind noise and drag. It has these little channels here, where the four tie-downs that come with it can slide up and down, and then tighten down to accommodate whatever accessory that you have on top. It is adjustable for various truck bed widths, with these bolts here and here. You loosen those up on both sides, you move them in or out to whatever you need. It does clamp to your bed rails using two clamps per foot on all of them. This means that this is a no-drill install. All you're going to need is a 7/32 Allen head bit. Let's go ahead and put the last two on, and show you how that looks. more

It also comes with a rubber strip, to put into the T slot to also cut down the noise but also jeep out dirt and grime while you're driving. This is adjustable to fit various truck bed widths by loosening up this bolt here, and this bolt on the other side. You can push it in or out, whatever you need to do for you truck bed. more

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Erickson Over-The-Cab Truck Bed Ladder Rack, Part Number EM07707. The Erickson Over-The-Cab Steel Ladder Rack is going to allow you to carry long items on top, such as pipes, ladders, lumber, and other long cargo. Unlike many other ladder racks, it's going to extend well beyond the back of the cab and almost to the front windshield, giving you extra support over the front of your cab for those heavy loads. We have one side of our back portion secured, so we're just going to show you this passenger side over here. The first thing we'll do is take our plain clamp here and we're just going to slide it just up under that lip and onto our ladder rack. We want it as close to the rack as we can get it and then we're going to take our wing nut here and fit that on top of our bolt. You may have to move that around a bit just to get that in the right spot. more

TracRac Steel Rac Truck Bed Ladder Rack Review- Video

Today we are looking at the TracRac universal steel rack truck bed ladder rack with over-the-cab extension, part number TA91000. The built in over-the-cab extension provides additional support for extra long loads. Now that we have our ladder in place, I'll show you a few nice features about this; plenty of places to wrap our strap around. This is just a generic cam buckle strap you can strap to any point on here and it's going to give you nice, solid sturdy place to strap. As you can see, down here we have our welded on cleats that's great for ratchet straps. Threw a ratchet strap over the top onto our other cleat, and to tie off my slack just so it's not waving in the wind, I wrapped it around our nice cross bar here, that way our ladder keeps from jumping up and down as well. When installing, this fits most full size truck beds. This bar, if you loosen up these four bolts, can move back and forth, obviously you have to do this side and the other side. Get a partner and move them at the same time. more

This ladder rack is designed to work with up to 400 pounds, and we've already got three of our four sides down and connected so we're just going to do our last two clamps over here on our passenger side in the rear. You're going to set the clamps down here. If we take a look at them we will bolt and then wing nut at the top here. What we'll do is we'll sit it around our tuck bed and then we'll start by taking down our bolt. That's going to push that piece just up so it's sitting up against the truck bed. more

Today on our 2015 Chevy Silverado, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Ericsson Ladder Rack System. This is going to be your 800 lb. Capacity ladder rack. It's going to be made out of sturdy steel construction, and as you can see, we've already got it placed inside the bed of our truck. Now a few things to note, that when you're placing this in your truck, is that you're going to have limited spots as far as bringing it all the way back like a normal ladder rack would, and all the way forward like you normally would, just because of the inside of the bed rail. As you can see we've already got the front one on and in place, with the brackets and mounting kit as well. We're going to show you how to put on this back one, and how it all looks and fits once it's installed. You're going to have eight of your c-clamps with your bolts, eight plates, and these are going to go up underneath the bed rail, and this piece will go on top the bed rail. It's going to come with your 4 cleats on either side to tie things down as well as your locking blocks on top and also the ability to mount your toolbox on top of the rail system. You'll see it'll come with your extra 2 clamps and all your hardware to thread down the flat washers and bolts through the top of your toolbox. Today on our 2015 Ford F-250, we're going to be a test fit of the Thule Xsporter Pro. This is going to be your adjustable height ladder rack for the back of your vehicle. Now, what we're going to do, is we're going to put it up on the back of the vehicle. As you can see, we've already got one in place. We're going to put the other one up into place so you can see what it's going to look like once it's done, and how it's all assembled. The front is going to go on the same way as the back, just in a different place. It's going to be part number TH-500-XT. Let's go ahead and put this one up into place, and we'll show you how it goes. Once you get it up onto the back of the vehicle (or beforehand) you can place your rubber mats underneath to protect the bed. If you don't have a plastic rail, I'd suggest putting those down beforehand. more

Thule Ladder Racks Review - 2015 Ram 1500- Video

Today on our 2015 RAM 1500 Quad Cab we're going to be installing the Thule Xsporter Adjustable-Height Truck Bed Ladder Rack and that is part number TH500XT. We already have our ladder rack pretty much fully installed on our truck but we wanted to show you the last clamp before it goes on. We've got all the parts laid out here. It's going to come with four of these rubber pads that will go underneath the feet of the rack, one for each foot. It's also going to come with eight of these clamps, two for each foot but each side is going to have one with this extra bracket and this is for the lock which you'll put each side, one for each bar. That lock, which is this piece here is just going to slide over the top there, secures with this key which is included and that's going to cover this Allen bolt so no one can take that off and leave with all your stuff. It's also going to come with eight of these little flanges that will go over the bolt to disperse that pressure as this gets tightened down so it doesn't cause any damage to your bed lining or your truck itself. It's just going to disperse that weight a little more evenly. With that it's also going to come with these two Allen bolts, this larger one is going to fit the bolt for the clamps as well as we come over here to the actual rack. more
